An exhibition of eight artists, inspired by Amisfield Walled Garden.
Eight local artists have joined together to celebrate the beauty, tranquillity and inspiration hidden behind the walls of Amisfield Walled Garden. Amisfield is a sheltered world of botanical secrets that has been crafted over time by changing seasons and circumstance. Different horticultural styles sit easily side by side amongst the paths, hedging, greenhouse and ponds; which are simultaneously formal, decorative and functional.
After a year of studying the garden, each artist has created a response to the plants, people and stories that make this such a unique and special location. Their expertise in printmaking, willow weaving, stained glass, ceramics, painting and floristry combine to create an exciting and vibrant exhibition, the first of its kind to be held at Amisfield.
Please join us for this week long creative celebration of this beautiful East Lothian garden.
Saturday 17th September– Sunday 25th (open every day 10am -4pm)
Opening day on Saturday 17th September: An opportunity to meet the artists, bring a picnic and enjoy live music performed by Soutra at 2.00pm in the beautiful surroundings of the garden.
